Short answer: you can create a clearer layout for yourself and for the officer — you should not submit it as if it were the bank’s document.
Why authenticity matters
Embassy guides warn that manipulated statements are a refusal ground. IRCC has questioned financial documents where formatting looked inconsistent with genuine bank output. Generic “PDF to Excel for visa” tools sometimes market the spreadsheet as the submission — that is the wrong direction for most consulates.
What StatementsCraft does (and does not)
We parse Excel/CSV/PDF exports, reconcile running balances, and produce an applicant-prepared cover + transaction layout. Provenance on the PDF states it is supplemental. Our evidence packet keeps original bank PDF pages unmodified when you upload them.
See our methodology: companion summary only; still submit bank-issued originals when required.
Practical checklist
| Document | Role |
|---|---|
| Bank portal PDF / stamped printout | Primary evidence |
| StatementsCraft visa-format PDF | Companion: averages, FX note, cover fields |
| Deposit / sponsor letters | Explain credits |
If your bank only gives Excel, convert for readability — then ask the branch whether a stamped statement is required for your consulate (common for many Schengen posts from India).
Not sure if your statement will raise questions? Run a free risk check first — no account required. Then format an officer-readable companion PDF if you need one.
Visa Pack $4.99 unlocks the clean PDF, letters, and credits after you see your flags.
