Editorial methodology
How we research destination rules, label companion PDFs, and refuse approval percentages.
- Cited sources
- Quarterly review
- No approval scores
What we publish
StatementsCraft helps applicants prepare readable companion summaries of bank data they already hold. We are not a bank, embassy, or immigration adviser. Not affiliated with any bank, embassy, or government agency.
Applicant-prepared summary. Accompanies your original bank-issued statements; does not replace them.
Sources we prefer
- Official government pages (GOV.UK, IRCC, EU Visa Code / Annex guidance, DOS, DHA).
- Embassy / VFS checklists that name statement format, stamps, or months of history.
- Published Federal Court reasoning when it clarifies how officers weigh funds.
- Forum threads (Reddit and similar) only to discover pain points — never as authority for thresholds.
Destination footnotes and visa landing pages store a last verified date and link to official sources. We do not invent “unofficial” balance thresholds.
Review cadence
Core destination YAML is reviewed on a quarterly cadence (or sooner when a statute or IRCC/UKVI page changes). Blog posts that cite amounts should show last verified / next review where applicable.

Integrity rules
- · We never change transactions, amounts, or balances.
- · Submit your original bank-issued statement when required; our PDF is a readable companion and summary.
- · We are not affiliated with any bank, embassy, or government.
- · We do not train AI models on your uploaded bank statement file.
- · We never show an embassy “approval %” or claim a formatted PDF guarantees a visa.
- · We never edit transactions, balances, or hide deposits.
Extraction & reconciliation
Before export we recompute running balances from the rows we read and compare them to the statement's own totals. A single mismatched debit or credit fails the gate — we do not invent corrected amounts.
| Example row | Bank file | Extracted | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opening | ₹1,20,000.00 | ₹1,20,000.00 | OK |
| Debit 14 Feb (mismatch) | ₹2,450.00 | ₹2,400.00 | Blocked |
We do not publish an accuracy percentage until a reproducible public test set exists. See the synthetic Visa Pack sample for an interactive walkthrough.
How to use our PDFs
- Download official statements from your bank portal (or get stamps if your consulate requires them).
- Use StatementsCraft for cover pages, FX notes, deposit checklists, and evidence packets.
- Submit the bank-issued originals (or certified copies) as the primary financial evidence.
- Attach our applicant-prepared summary only as a companion when it helps the officer read the file.
