UK 28-day rule checker

One day below the required amount can refuse a Student or Skilled Worker visa. Check your statement before you apply.

UK student and work routes require the maintenance amount to stay in the account for 28 consecutive days, counting back from the statement closing date. The statement must also be dated within 31 days of your online application (not biometrics). One day below the requirement can mean refusal.

  1. Open the free visa risk check and choose United Kingdom.
  2. Pick your route (Student, Skilled Worker, etc.) and enter the required GBP amount.
  3. Set your planned application date to check the 31-day rule.
  4. Upload your statement — we rebuild the day-by-day balance strip and flag any breach.

Indicative FX only if your account is not in GBP. UKVI converts with OANDA on the application date. Guidance only (not a UKVI rule): keep about 10–15% above the GBP requirement so a small rate move does not push you under. We never advise moving or parking funds.
